Why Putin’s War Machine is Running Out of Gas

I served as the editor on a YouTube documentary for client 2 and 20, delivering the full post-production edit including SFX, sound design, footage sourcing, and final export. I assembled the narrative cut, integrated sourced clips and effects, and shaped audio to match pacing and emphasis. I also prepared final masters and export settings for YouTube delivery to ensure consistent playback and quality.

I edited a long-form explainer titled Why Putin’s War Machine is Running Out of Gas for client 2 and 20, delivered for YouTube. My work covered the assembly of the narrative cut, placing sourced footage to clarify key points, and applying sound design and effects to enhance clarity and pace. The goal was to maintain a factual, measured tone while keeping the runtime focused and engaging.

On the technical side I handled sourcing and matching archival and news clips to the script, layered SFX to support transitions, and refined dialogue and ambient audio to improve intelligibility. Sound design choices were driven by pacing needs–subtle reinforcement of beats, smoothing of audio inconsistencies, and clear moment-to-moment emphasis without distracting from the reporting. The final exports were prepared to client specs for YouTube upload.

The finished video provided a polished, broadcast-ready package for 2 and 20’s YouTube audience and served as the delivered master for publishing. As a reference for reach, the video accumulated approximately 291,289 views and 7,277 likes on YouTube, which helps contextualize audience engagement. Throughout the project I coordinated closely with the production team to ensure the edit met editorial and technical expectations.
