How Canada Lost its Own Identity

I served as the editor on 2 and 20’s YouTube episode How Canada Lost its Own Identity, responsible for assembling the picture and delivering the final master. My work included sourcing and integrating footage, crafting SFX and sound design, and shaping the pacing and narrative through editing. I also prepared the final export optimized for YouTube delivery.

  • End-to-end editing and audio finishing for a narrative YouTube episode
  • Sourced archival and B-roll footage and integrated targeted SFX
  • Final upload received over 400,000 views and 10,900 likes on YouTube

I edited the full episode for 2 and 20’s YouTube channel, focusing on clear narrative flow and consistent audiovisual tone. The project required assembling interview clips, narration, and sourced footage into a coherent structure that matched the channel’s established style.

My responsibilities covered footage sourcing, cut assembly, SFX placement, and sound design to ensure transitions and moments landed as intended. I balanced dialogue clarity with background elements, layered SFX for emphasis, and delivered a polished mix suitable for the platform.

After finalizing the edit and producing the export for YouTube, the episode went on to attract significant audience engagement–earning roughly 400,000 views and more than 10,900 likes. The edit was delivered to the client, 2 and 20, as a ready-to-publish master and supported the episode’s performance on the platform.
