This project for 2 and 20 examined the environmental catastrophe in the USSR and was published on YouTube. The brief required a clear, documentary-style edit that relied heavily on archival material and careful audio treatment to communicate historical context without distracting the viewer.
My work involved locating and sourcing suitable archival footage, assembling rough and fine cuts, and applying sound design and SFX to restore atmosphere and continuity. I balanced audio levels, removed distracting noise where possible, and timed effects to support narrative beats while keeping the voiceover and interview material prominent.
Throughout delivery I focused on practical, client-driven refinements: iterating on pacing, tightening transitions, and exporting masters formatted for YouTube. The final video accumulated measurable engagement on the platform (18,724 views and 529 likes), reflecting the finished edit’s clarity and audience reach.
